Born into a family with musical tradition, began studying cello under the guidance of her father, first cellist of the Sicilian Symphony Orchestra in Palermo (Italy). Graduate of the National University of Music Bucharest under the guidance of professors Aurel Niculescu and Marin Cazacu, Andreea Țimiraș improved her artistry skills attending numerous Master Courses with David Geringas (cello) and the Abegg Trio (chamber music). Member of Sicilian Symphony Orchestra (2001-2015), performs also solo and chamber music, both at home and abroad, and approaches different musical genres like ancient music works with the BAROCkers ensemble or contemporary repertoire for which received several special awards. In October 2012, Andreea became Ph.D. student, assistant researcher of the Early Music Centre at the National University of Music in Bucharest and in September 2013 became chamber music and cello teacher at the “Dinu Lipatti” National College of Arts in Bucharest.
